Postcoital Bleeding [PCB]

PCB is non-menstrual bleeding that occurs immediately after sexual intercourse.  Mostly associated with cervical cause.

Vaginal examination is necessary to exclude abnormal cervix, such as cervical ectropion and cancer.   A smear may be taken if indicated.  Colposcopy may be required.

Depending on the cause and the results of investigations, this may be treated by medical or surgical approach.
